Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
Minutes of the August 13, 2014 Meeting

Present:  William P. Goreham, Thaddeus Buczko & Sumer Jones

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M. in the Mayor’s office.

The Council on Aging submitted a request for medication expense reimbursement for Salem residents.  William P. Goreham made a motion to approve $268.09 from the Endicott Fund.  The motion was seconded by Sumner Jones and voted unanimously.

Thaddeus Buczko made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 10, 2014 meeting.
The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously.

The Board reviewed the FY15 Large Grant proposals and the amount of each request.  They compared last year’s awards to what funding is available for the next fiscal year.  The Eastern Bank increased their administrative costs and it will directly affect the new budget for FY15.  The Board tabled voting on the funding until their September 11, 2013 meeting.

Friends of Greenlawn Cemetery are raising funds to help restore the Dickson Chapel.
They can use the City Tax ID for the Cemetery or the Trust Fund Tax ID for people who want to claim their donations.  The Group will forward checks to the Board and the Board will deposit the checks as a line item in the Dickson Fund.

William P. Goreham distributed the quarterly report, date ending 6/30/14.

Statements were received from the Cemetery Commission.  Thaddeus Buckzo made a motion to approve the funding.  The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously.   Approved below:

A.T. Mscize & Sons – Vault/Burial - $7,350.00 – Perpetual Care Fund
Anthony Montoni Construction – Repair Stairs & Landing - $8,425.00 – Dickson Fund

One late scholarship was received.  Thaddeus Buczko made a motion to approve $271.00 from the Bean Fund for the request.  The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously.

Two Read Picnic expenses were received.  Sumner Jones made a motion to approve the requests.  The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously.

Cappy’s - $96.00/Food – Picnic Fund

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:10 P.M.
